MLK Weekend

I just got home from a wonderful trip to see one of my best friends in Fort Lauderdale!  Thank you so much, Mary Ellen and Keesler for a great time and for being the most amazing hosts, ever!  I feel like I spent the whole weekend eating!  We ate some delicious brunches at cute little restaurants by the beach and also ate some of the most amazing dinners at two very "South Florida" restaurants, Roccos and YOLO.  It was a little too chilly for laying out on the beach so we spent Saturday shopping on Los Olas, which is like a cute shopping road with little boutiques and restaurants, and then met back up with Keesler at a cheese and wine cafe for afternoon drinks.  Sunday we went to a Polo match in West Palm Beach.   

After dinner we met up with some of Mary Ellen and Keesler's friends and went to a bar called, VIBE.

 

 

 We went to a Polo Match Sunday and I have now developed an obsession with everything polo, mainly the little hottie players and the ultra preppy clothing in shades of white and tan!

 

 

It was a little chilly in the shade, but totally worth it.  I will take the 70 degree weather in Florida over the 40 degree weather in Raleigh any time.

 Now, I'm finally using my Crock Pot I got for Christmas and cooking some Chicken and Pastry!  It will be ready in 5 hours, and I am very excited!  The only thing that is bad about a crock pot is waiting for HOURS to see the outcome!!!!
