Catch-Up Session

I'm sorry I've been MIA lately, its been super busy so I'm going to try to do a little re-cap of the last couple of weeks in this post!
The weekend before last Townsend and I went to the Lake and enjoyed the sunny 60 degree weather, which was a wonderful break from the chilly rainy weather we have been having!  It also was really nice to just get away for a weekend and relax!   There hasn't been much of that going on the past couple of weeks!
Relaxing on the back deck at Lake Lure
Then last week I helped host 3 different baby showers!  Two were at work...one was on Monday and the other on Thursday!  For the Thursday shower each grade level designed a onesie, then at the shower the Mom-to-be had to guess which onesie went to which grade level! It was a cute game compared to the usual lame baby shower games like smell the diaper and guess what candy bar...sick!
This is the onesie I made for our grade level
Saturday we had a really fun baby shower for my first beautiful friend who's making the leap in to motherhood!  However, since it was everyone's first time throwing a baby shower, we skipped playing the games and just drank mimosas and opened presents!  I had a great time and loved celebrating baby Olivia Reese!
This project took much longer than I expected...thank goodness Brovo now has Fashion Nights on Wednesdays to keep me company while I tied a million bows
All tied up and ready to head to the shower

I only hope I look half as amazing as she does when I'm having a baby

Last week I also decided to do a little cooking!  I made a recipe I found on pinterest from skinnymom.com for low fat Chicken Florentine
This is what it looked like while in the process...I officially made a huge disaster of my tiny kitchen
The final product, it was so yummy.
The recipe replaces ricotta cheese with low fat cottage cheese, whole wheat rice pasta for regular pasta, and basically double the spinach of a normal serving.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!  I also hope my pillow shams will be done getting monogrammed some time this week and I can show you my new bedroom set!  I'm so excited, I've finally replaced all the pink and green from college with navy and accents of pink!!!
